At KnitFit we are interested in creating safe, social playgrounds that are safe for everyone at any age.  We are all about teaching the basics and sparking the creativity in you.  Our mission is to use the crafting circle to help the youth of today be productive, aware, and connected members of their community.  KnitFit utilizes the crafting conversation circle as a method for multi-generational community interaction.  We offer simple but innovative ideas for everyone that wants to create something special.  KnitFit is and always will be a safe place to play.

Sublimation Printing with Michael Corob - Coming Soon

What is Sublimation Printing? A digital image is printed with sublimation inks. The inks, when heated, change from a solid
to a gas and penetrate a surface of a tile or polyester tie or bag. When the heat is removed, the pores of the surface close, trapping the ink inside. The ink returns to solid form inside the finished art product. Pretty Cool!!
The Craft of LegoRobotics
Students build and create unique robots using the amazing LEGO® Mindstorms NXT system. Taught by a credentialed teacher Eric Prothero, students will learn about LEGO building techniques using specialized LEGO pieces, mechanical engineering, computer programming, and concepts like friction, degrees, rotation, and measurement.  Help prepare your child for the technology of the future while creating fun remote control cars, walking creatures, or whatever comes to mind!   
This is a 4-hour class, Cost $20.00
Saturday Sewing
Come and learn the basics of sewing or expand your sewing skills in this 2 1/2 hour weekend sewing class.  Cinch Saks, Pillowcases, Pillows. Projects change weekly and will be posted on our schedule. $15.00 to $30.00

February 18th 10:00 am to 12:30 pm - Choose from some of our past projects. Reversible Tote, Cinch Sak, Market Tote, Pillowcase, Patchwork Pillow. 

February 25th 10:00 am to 12:30 pm - Make-up Bag from the book "1-2-3 Sew"

Beginning Knitting OR Crochet - Tuesday's & Thursday's 3:30 to 5:00 pm
Come and learn to knit or crochet with us. Knitting:  In this class you will learn how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, rib stitch, garter stitch, drop stitch. Crochet: You will learn slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet while making a really cool scarf.  This is a one time fee of $20.00 for either knitting or crochet.  You can also just come and knit or crochet with us at this time.  We'd love to have you.
